EPBD in Europe: What it Means and How Metasys 16.0 Delivers
On 30 June at 11:00 CET, eu.bac contributed to a webinar hosted by Johnson Controls on the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) and its implications for building performance, compliance, and energy transparency across Europe.
Gusts Kossovičs, Managing Director of eu.bac, opened the session with an overview of the new BACS requirements introduced under the EPBD, and presented the compliance guidelines and checklists developed by eu.bac to support the sector in implementing these requirements in practice. As he noted, “the EPBD is moving us from buildings that are efficient on paper to buildings that perform in practice.”
The session continued with Yehia Kamel (Product Manager EMEA Building Automation) and Christina von Westernhagen (Senior Director of European Government Relations), who shared the manufacturer’s perspective on supporting EPBD compliance through Johnson Controls’ Metasys 16 platform.
