Data ready for 2027: Supporting National Building Renovation Plans with EU-funded solutions and the EU Building Stock Observatory.

On 7 October 2026, the EU Building Stock Observatory (BSO) and the OBSERVE project, together with the sister EU-funded initiatives BREEZE, iEPB, OneClickRENO, openBEP4EU, ReLIFE and SmarterEPC, are organising an in-person event to help EU Member States, national agencies, regional and local authorities, and other key implementation actors move from EPBD obligations to practical delivery.

Taking place just after the EPBD transposition deadline, shortly before the submission of final National Building Renovation Plans (NBRPs), and ahead of the first mandatory transfer of information from national EPB databases to the EU BSO in March 2027, the event will connect Commission guidance and Member State implementation priorities with data readiness, renovation planning, financing, implementation and monitoring.

Join us for a practical, data-to-delivery programme exploring how NBRPs can serve as strategic frameworks linking building-stock evidence, renovation priorities, financing and delivery; how reliable, interoperable and actionable data infrastructures can support both public authorities and market actors; and how the evolving EU BSO can support national implementation and European reporting.

The programme will also showcase practical tools and solutions from the co-organising initiatives, spanning building data, EPCs and calculation methodologies, renovation planning, financing, decision support and monitoring, with a focus on what Member States and other actors can already use or adapt. It will also provide a first opportunity to connect these complementary solutions, and the initiatives developing them, through the emerging EPBD Implementation Cluster and to exchange directly with the European Commission, CINEA and Member State representatives.
