Working Groups

Advocacy Working Group

The Advocacy Working Group uses various forms of advocacy in order to influence public opinion and/or policy, including the development and effective implementation of EU directives and regulation, and also informs eu.bac members about relevant developments in public policy.

The Advocacy Working Group is supported by Task Groups on Ecodesign and the Smart Readiness Indicator.

Business Development Working Group

The Business Development Working Group (formerly the common meeting of Home Controls, Building Automation and Controls Systems and Energy Services) meets at least twice a year to evaluate eu.bac’s activities and to generate & debate proposals for the board regarding new work items.

The Business Development Working Group is supported by Task Groups on IT Security for BACS, IoT Strategy Paper and BIM and BACS.

Technical Working Group

The Technical Working Group aims to drive European and worldwide BACs standards, and to initiate quality standards through audits, certificates or labels to endorse quality and energy efficiency products and systems & services.

The Technical Working Group will coordinate the development of certification and labeling rules for quality and energy efficiency of BAC products in accordance with the relevant European Directives. The group leads the administration of the eu.bac Product Certification and Label.

The Technical Working Group is supported by Task Groups on Electronic Zone Control, Components, Valves and Actuators, Sensors, System and Systems KPI’s

MarCom Working Group

The MarCom Working Group is in charge of the marketing and communication efforts of eu.bac, which aims to establish eu.bac as the high-profile and credible voice for insightful information on building automation.
